My studio work is a multi-disciplinary expression of my passion for the environment
combined with my fascination for diverse materials. Organic forms and patterns deeply
influence my work. Yet my interests are broad and my ideas are always evolving. I draw
inspiration from history, current events and personal relationships. All of these influences
weave their way into my thoughts and manifest themselves in my art.
My integrated approach to working develops further in the installations and site-specific
sculptural pieces I create. I work at a larger scale when planning my sculptural work. The
process begins with site analysis and scaled drawings. All of the work is created with the spatial
context in mind. Materials vary from ephemeral natural accents to more permanent metal and glass
constructions. I compose gallery and museum installations to highlight important social and
environmental issues. In these exhibits, my sculptural objects convey my personal vision.
