One of Eliane Markoff's signature pieces and undoubtedly the most recognized, is Flowers for Hope. In a field of flowers, the tulips face different directions, much like the different paths on which life takes us. The painting was Jury Selected by the WGBH Art Committee and it now hangs in the lobby of The Davis Companies.

Eliane's art is proudly displayed in private collections as well as corporate lobbies and offices including Boston Private Bank and Trust, Equity Office, Children's Hospital Boston, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, The Davis Companies, Harvard Medical School, Joslin Center, New England Sinai Hospital, and the Wellesley Free Library.

Eliane's inspiration to become an artist began with a drawing of her daughter's. At the age of 8, Rachel drew to pass the time during her many medical appointments in 1992. Eliane copied and then painted Rachel's masterpiece, as best she could. The painting hangs at Children's Hospital Boston in her memory.

Painting Rachel's drawing sparked Eliane's artistic talents. Initially, she focused on watercolors of flowers and landscapes and then, as her artistry intensified, she moved on to oils. Eliane developed her unique artistic style that can best described as a combination of impressionism and modernism.

Eliane joined the SOWA Artists Guild of Boston in 2008. She is also Founder of Art in Giving, an organization that combines art with business recognition and philanthropy. Eliane can be reached at 617 877 4230 or via esmarkoff@verizon.net
